my bottle of 4derm says to hold 8" from torso, arms or thighs and spray on. however, when reading the website, there is a follow up sentence that says you should not spray directly on the body since "misting" can occur. you should hold 2" from your cupped hand and spray into the hand and then rub onto the body. i'm confused. which is best? wouldn't spraying into the hand mean some of it sticks to the hand and gets wasted when the hands are washed after application? i used to use ergopharm andro spray and just sprayed that directly on the torso and thighs, with great results - but maybe i was doing it wrong and can learn something that will make the 4AD spray even more effective. thanks for the tremendous information you provide on this site.

Since there is now more feedback since that was written, the second option is definitely best. Use latex gloves when applying.

I just spray the stuff on my bare hands and rub it on........very little stay on the hand and the results are still great.

You can avoid misting by holding it closer to your body before spraying, I much prefer that to applying to the hand first.

Ive tried applying it with a latex glove, its much better just using your hand.
