I thought it was a form of clinch wrestling. I know that judo and that russian sambo incorporate aspects of it into their sport but i didnt think it was an actual martial art. i still think golf is harder  -------------------- |

I'm not sure if grappling/BJJ is the hardest sport out there, but it is definitely one of them. It's one on one competition, that comes down to technique, endurance, strength, and the mental game. You have to think about what you are going to do to your opponent, not what they are going to do to you.

I did my second tournament this afternoon. It was a judo/jiu-jitsu hybrid deal. You started from your knees and could win by: submission, pin (25 second hold down), or by weight. The weight deal was pretty gay. The rounds were five minutes and there were not points. If no pin or submission happened in that five minutes, the lighter guy wins.
Anyways, I won match one by pin. Lost my second match by north-south choke, and than won my third fight pin. I wanted to submit my opponents but my coach told me to go for the pin because I was the heaviest guy in all my matches and didn't want to risk losing. Start of match #3.  Pinning guy #3  Pinning guy #1  |
